The Coffee Shop

I’m thinking a coffee shop might be the best of all worlds. Food, smoothies, conversations, and of course, coffee.

I’ve heard rumor that the owner of this particular coffee shop passed away recently. I didn’t know him personally, but I always knew who he was as he sat in the corner with his laptop going over the day’s business, always taking the time to say hello and welcome friends.

If I had the money and the know how, I think I’d scrap my current career, and become a coffee shop owner. Just looking around at all the people having conversations about anything and everything. For those who know me, I’m sure you’re saying this is a bit of a surprise coming from me. In general, I’m not a fan of people. Let me clarify; I like the people I like. I don’t like the fake people or the people who are always out trying to prove themselves. If you’re good to me, we’re solid.

In a coffee shop, you can meet, study, read, listen to live music, and even drink coffee if you so choose. During the holidays, I bet this place is hopping with people coming in from the cold after being out shopping, or stopping by after seeing the Christmas decorations around our fair town. I just think that sounds so relaxing. Chill, if you will.

Nothing special today. Truly random, I know.

Here’s to a wonderful holiday season. Get out, shop, serve, chat, sing, and just take it all in. And when you need a break, go visit your local coffee shop. Sit by the fire and warm up. Slow down. Take it all in.
